Tia Vice is joining Main Street America as Associate Manager of Strategic Projects. She helps manage some of our grant programs, special initiatives, and resources.
Previously, Tia worked as a Program Officer at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Boston. Prior to LISC, Tia studied housing, community, and economic development as an urban planning graduate student. There, she was part of an award-winning student project team for application of the planning process for an urban Main Street plan. She has worked as part of dynamic teams in the public and private sectors in South Carolina, New Orleans, LA, and in Washington, DC.
Her past roles include serving as Director of Communications and Scheduling for a New Orleans City Councilmember, working with neighborhood and resident leaders in New Orleans as a neighborhood liaison with Neighborhoods Partnership Network (NPN), working for community and faith-based organizations, and completing a year of national service as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Upstate South Carolina.
Tia has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Furman University in Greenville, SC, a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and a Master in City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA.
