A small group of people gather around a table in a small plaza that features verdant landscaping and seating, and is flanked by historic buildings with vibrantly decorated retail storefronts. Text on the image reads: “2024 Main Street Trends Survey”

The 2024 Main Street Trends Survey is Here!

The Trends Survey is our annual call for information and insights about you, your organization, and your community. The results will inform our advocacy work, shape our programming, and help us tell a richer story about the Main Street America network.

The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete and will close on Friday, March 1.

Click here to take the survey >

We would love to hear from as many local programs as we can. Help us reach or exceed last year’s participation by completing this survey. In return, you will automatically be entered for a chance to go to Main Street Now 2024 on us! One free conference registration will be awarded to a local program that completes the survey and one prize package will be awarded to a Coordinating Program with at least 75% of their designated programs responding. Both recipients will be randomly selected through a drawing.

Why take the survey?

  • To support you and your programs, it helps to have accurate and up-to-date information about who you are, the impacts you’re having, and the challenges you’re facing. The survey results help us to be the best advocates we can and to tell the story of our network as best we can.
  • Have you ever wondered how your Main Street program compares to others across the network? Help us gather information about salaries, professional backgrounds, programming priorities, and more so we can share data that illuminates the patterns and helps you see the ways you do things differently.
  • Share your challenges and successes from the past year, and tell us what you need to be successful in the year ahead.

Who should take the survey?

We created this survey to better understand local Main Street programs. We encourage both Main Street America (MSA) member programs and non-members to participate! Local organizations that are practicing Main Street approaches and/or working with their state/city/county programs, but are not yet members of MSA, are also welcome to take the survey. Click the survey link for additional details and important instructions.

This survey is not intended for Coordinating Programs, Friends of Main Street, or Allied members.

When will results be available?

Results will be shared in early April. Keep an eye on your inbox, our social channels, and The Point for updates.
